This Landscape of Resolute Blooms - music by Dina Shilleh and Robin Burlton

This Landscape of Resolute Blooms presents three works for chamber-sized string ensembles by composers Dina Shilleh and Robin Burlton. The pieces each begin from a point of questioning; whether that is looking inwards at the self or looking at what surrounds us and confronting the present or the past. Memory, inconsistencies, uncertainties, conflicts and the contradiction of constants and fluctuations are all sources of enquiry. Musically there are repetitions, cycles, uneven phrases, restructurings and unresolved dissonances which reflect the paths upon which these questions wander.
