Concert Overview
I Am Not in a Small Room - music by Ibrahim Najem, Naseem Rimawi, Faris Amin, Hussam Barham, and Majdal Nijem. Text by Dalia Taha
I Am Not in a Small Room is a musical performance accompanied by a text that tells a story of imprisonment in Palestine. The performance explores singing in dark hours and tells, through short monologues, part of the history of imprisonment and the history of those who, through the writing and singing of songs, escaped from its narrow cells.
This concert was the result of a Gradus open call for musicians. The collective was formed and the music and text were written as a collaborative project.
